Course Builder

Course Builders move obstacles between classes as directed by the Chief Course Builder.

Recommended for:

Anyone strong enough to move equipments. No previous trial experience necessary.

  • Help move equipment between classes setting the course for the next class. You must be aware of when each class ends so that the new course can be set quickly. Efficiency in course building can significantly affect how late a show runs.

  • The Chief Course Builder (and then the Judge during the final "tweaking") provides instruction about what pieces of equipment are needed and where to place them.

  • As soon as the judge is satisfied with the placement of such things as tunnels, weave poles, and so forth, secure them using sand bags or other types of tunnel holders and stakes. Lay the jump bars perpendicular to the jump standards so that the judge can measure the course after everything is set.
